I'm 69 and have smoked weed since 1972. Never was an everyday user, just every now
& then. Presently I smoke 4-5 days a month.
I've been laughing at the lies from news media since that time.
A medical doctor named Nahas was a leading crusader against marijuana in those days;
his "articles" and claims about the "evils" of marijuana were SO biased and ridiculous that
the American Medical Association censured him.
The Reefer Madness film propaganda was indeed the popular "wisdom" of the time. It wasn't
until the 1970s or later that the medico's had to ADMIT that marijuana DID INDEED have a
legitimate use: relieving nausea from chemotherapy. Eventually it proved beneficial in the
actual PREVENTION of developing cataracts. Now it's being marketed for a multitude of things.
It only took another few DECADES for our esteemed "leaders" to correctly conclude that it
made more sense to LEGALIZE it and reap a tax windfall....rather than give VIOLENT
CRIMINALS another sandbox to play in.
But to respond to Willie's remark: No, I haven't gotten sick from COVID and never
suffered any other ill effects from weed either.
I NEVER drink nor have I tried any other "recreational" drugs either. I am pretty
boring & I like it that way....:toast:
